faroe islands | Petur Larsen

A leading provider of machinery and service to the fishing industry, delivering to all markets around the globe.

Today, Petur Larsen is the leading provider of machinery to the fishing industry, delivering to all markets around the globe.

In 1971, Petur Larsen established the company after he had worked extensively on BAADER machines in Greenland for several years. When he returned to his hometown — Fuglafjørður, Faroe Islands — he did what real entrepreneurs do, and started a workshop, which he ran from the basement in his home.

Due to the extraordinary quality of work that Petur Larsen delivered, he was soon in high demand and had to move the firm to somewhat larger premises in 1990. The success of the company continued, and in 2002, Petur Larsen moved into a new, larger building at the harbour in Fuglafjørður, where the company operates today.

After a long and flourishing career, Petur Larsen handed over the business to his two sons — Atli and Rógvi — who took over the company in June 2007. They have continued the tradition and development of Petur Larsen, and the prime focus is still on delivering the best quality possible for their customers.

Our goal has remained the same since the company was established 1971: We want you to do better.

Germany | WATER proved

WATER - proved was founded in June 2011 by Alexander Rose in Fürth / Germany.

From the very beginning, it was important to Alexander Rose not to focus on one process or one target group: "Of course, we plan and build large recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). But it's important to us to also design flow through systems, to expand or modernise plants of any kind and to sell suitable components."

'Tailor-made aquaculture' is therefore to be taken literally.

WATER - proved GmbH cultivates an appreciative relationship with customers as well as with suppliers and within the team.

10 satisfied employees are currently working for WATER - proved:
Aquaculture engineers, technical draughtsmen, project managers and business people from Germany, India and France, aged between 21 and 58, all pulling together for the success of their company.

NAVIPA – Equipamentos Industriais Lda, was founded on June 30, 1981, by two partners, Manuel Marques and Rui Pereira. At the beginning of its activity, NAVIPA dedicated itself to projects aimed at the Naval Fishing Industry, quickly becoming a reference company in the sector. By virtue of carrying out its projects in the Naval Fishing Industry and manufacturing the respective equipment, such as Winches; Handlers; Steering Machines among others, Navipa acquired large quantities of Oleo-Hydraulic components from some prestigious brands, which ended up justifying obtaining the right to represent these same brands. Among others, Vickers, Salami and Regiana Riduttori stand out. In this way, an oil-hydraulic department was created at Navipa, which was dedicated to marketing the products and brands represented.

In 1995, the decision was made to develop and enhance this department, which culminated in the representation of other brands, in addition to those mentioned, such as Enerpac, Poclain Hydraulics, Olaer, OMT, Walterscheid, Eckerle, etc. As a result of notable growth in the oil-hydraulic area, the know-how acquired over the years and the privilege of working side by side with the main brands operating on a global scale in this sector, Navipa has included Oil projects in its offer. -Hydraulics, the supply and assembly of Oil-Hydraulic systems and technical assistance, in the most diverse sectors of activity such as Industry, Public Works, Energy, Environment and Agriculture.

Currently, new challenges arise, maintaining the ambition of continuing to be a reference in the area of Oil-Hydraulics and engineering, thus contributing to the country's development.
